In my definition, growth asks us to deepen our understanding of our roots— the root causes of conflict, the feeling of home and nourishment, the sense of self. Growth, to me, looks like untangling the dense mess of my underworld, so I can reach toward a healed version of my self, of my life. The symbols that came forth within this work point to that; a painting for renewal and wholeness, a moment (or 1,000) of untangling, a soft sense of cyclical one-ness that I’ve entered into.
